Medications: Discontinue NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, Advil, and Aleve, as well as blood thinners like aspirin for at least 7 days prior. Always consult your doctor before stopping prescribed medications.
Supplements: Avoid Ginkgo Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Turmeric, and Fish Oil for at least 7 days before treatment.
Alcohol & Smoking: Refrain from both for at least 3–7 days prior to the procedure.
Hydration: Drink at least 64 oz of water and eat a light, nutritious snack before your appointment.
Steroids: Stop systemic steroids at least two weeks before treatment, unless otherwise instructed by your provider.
Skin Products: Avoid Retinol, exfoliating acids, and certain medications for 3 days before and after your procedure.
After-Care Instructions
Avoid Touching: Do not rub, press, or manipulate the treated area for at least 8 hours post-treatment.
Heat & Strenuous Activity: Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, and vigorous exercise for 24–48 hours.
Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight to prevent worsened swelling or redness.
Alcohol & Nicotine: Refrain from both for 3–5 days following treatment to support healing.
Ice & Heat: Do not apply unless specifically advised by your provider.
Makeup & Skincare: Avoid makeup, lotions, or sunscreen for at least 8 hours after your session.
Rest: Sleep on your back with your head elevated for 1–2 weeks to reduce swelling.
Pain Relief: Tylenol (acetaminophen) may be used if needed. Avoid NSAIDs.
When to Call: Contact your provider immediately if you notice pain, discoloration, or blistering.
